Hello! - I’m Anna, Brisbane Graphic Designer, lover of colour, patterns and creating that “aha” moment when the design looks just right.
At aha Creative, we live by the maxim: “Quality is Spoken and Creativity is Understood.” This philosophy underscores our commitment to clear communication, ensuring that the excellence of our workmanship is effectively conveyed, and our creative visions are not merely seen but deeply understood.
Get to know me…
My creative journey began at Griffith College of Art in Brisbane, where I earned my Bachelor of Photography degree in 2012, specialising in photojournalism. This ignited my love for visual storytelling.
Over the years, I've honed my skills through various experiences in Photography, Business, and Marketing. In 2019, I took a significant step toward my dream of becoming a designer by enrolling in Graphic Design studies at Billy Blue College of Art in Brisbane, further enriching my creative abilities.
I haven’t always known where I would end up, but I’ve always had a love for the arts: photographing, sketching, painting, drawing, even performing arts at one point! I love to be hands on and believe the best ideas always start on paper. So I think starting my own graphic design business was really the only place where I could fulfil that need to collaborate and create.
Today, I wear two hats: as business owner and Graphic Designer at aha Creative where my focus is on telling brand stories, and Graphic Designer at The Branding Business, where I craft exceptional branding and merchandise pieces in-house. Amidst all this, I'm also a wife to Callan, a mum to my energetic toddler Cooper, and a proud fur-mum to Mango & Nori.
My days are an exciting blend of creativity, collaboration, and family, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
So now you know a bit about me, let’s take a look at the process we will take to unlock your “aha” moment and create your Standout Brand.
01. Discovering your brand story
Our journey starts with a conversation. What makes your heart race? What makes your business stand out in a crowd? This sets the stage for creating a brand that genuinely connects with your audience, leaving them wanting to know more. I’ll send you a questionnaire to discover where your business needs lie and then from there we can jump on a phone or zoom chat to get to know each other and understand how I can best help you.
02. Proposal time
After we've had a chance to dive into how I can assist your business, I'll put together a personalised quote proposal that outlines your customer, your business goals and your business design needs so we’re 100% on the same page. If you're ready to get started, you can simply accept the proposal and pay the booking deposit to confirm your design time.
03. The Creative journey begins
Once we’ve confirmed your project start date, I’ll send you a Brand Direction Worksheet to review before we jump on one more call to discuss your answers. From there I will get underway in creating a Creative Direction slide deck outlining the aesthetics of your new brand design. Think colour pallets, typography style, and brand imagery; all the details that are needed to create a cohesive look and feel to your brand.
04. Concepts and Revisions
I want you to be 100% in love with your new brand design, so I will provide you with 2-3 diverse concepts for you to choose to take through to the final refined concept and offer revisions as needed from there until the design is perfect.
05. Brand Style Guide and add ons
Your brand has to work everywhere, from business cards to social media. It needs to be not just attractive but super practical - all while delivering the all important “aha!” moments. To do this, I supply you with your Brand Style Guide so your customers know who they are talking to when they see you font, brand pattern and packaging, not just your logo.
We can also discuss any extras you need like business cards, posters, flyer or social media templates. All created in your new unified and versatile style that is a reflection of your brand’s voice.
